Liu An Tea (六俺茶) is a type of post fermented dark tea. Its medicinal properties pushed it into the spotlight, with the earliest appearance being in the Tang Dynasty (somewhere between 618-907 A.D). Liu An was believed to reduce inflammation, promote digestive and immune system functions.
We’re no doctors, so we can’t speak for those exact health benefits. All we have to say is this tea can help anyone up their tea game by expanding the palette and trying something new. This tea definitely gave off a wild, natural type feeling with its earthiness. Sometimes you luck out and find a gem, like this obscure one.
