It’s hard to mess this one up, we promise.
As great as certain teas are, some can easily turn bitter or lose flavor. Looking at you over there, green and whites.
Luckily, that’s not the case with here. Whether you’re just starting out with tea brewing or have turned it into an obsession like us, this unsmoked, fully oxidized Lapsang Souchong is hardy, easily withstanding higher temperatures and longer steep times. Leaves were born from a relatively young tree in the Wuyi Mountains on this one.
We went with this Lapsang Souchong because it specifically didn’t undergo the withering process that involves smoldering pinewood flower like all of its other Lapsang cousins. Medium dark, rich, fruity notes take the place of smokiness here.
