This puer cake had a very typical taste profile of a relatively young, quality puer. It was floral and mellow with lingering hints of grassiness—that is, until we aged it for 3 more years and out came an explosion of sweet, fruity notes. This is what we mean by mind blowing experience.
Officially 15 years old, this baby was produced at Menghai Tea Factory, the real O.G. for puer tea production. At the rate things are going, there’s a lot of potential with this puer cake whether for immediate consumption or longer aging. Age really is just a number here.
